Design and Apply
the Blueprint of WE
to Your Business or Organization

Create a Climate of Trust, Creativity, Resilience, and Vision in Your Organization

What is it?
Beyond self awareness, our world now demands collaborative awareness; how can we do this fast-paced dance without stepping on each other’s toes? The Blueprint of WE is a new way to build, sustain and transition internal and external business relationships with trust and respect in order to increase the health of both people and profits. It is a collaboration process used to establish more resilient business relationships in a world that changes in increasingly complex ways, making the old ground rules no longer reliable. It gives you the power to be the architect of your life, rather than squeezing into pre-established relationship definitions. You personally write it along with those involved (whether it be 2 or 20,000+ people), preferably at the beginning of the relationship. It captures what draws each individual to the situation, your personal preferences and expectations; and it provides a path back to peace if the need arises. It is often being used to replace or enhance traditional legal contracts.

The 5 Components of the Blueprint of WE

1. The Story of Us
Share what draws you to these people and this situation.

2. Interaction Styles and Warning Signs
The “blueprint of me,” how I work best, what I look like on a good day/bad day, and what I might need that I couldn’t ask for in the moment.

3. Expectations
Core values and non-negotiables, the structure you need to create and sustain this relationship.

4. Questions to Return to Peace
A tool to return to peace if the need arises, makes the difficult times shorter and easier.

5. Short and Long-Term Agreements
How long you’re willing to go before you make peace. An agreement of no outright harm, a willingness to keep an open window if the unimaginable happens.

Great Idea! Create a 1-page Blueprint of WE for your Company or Organization

Creating a concise, 1 or 2-page Business Introduction Blueprint of WE for your organization or for yourself is a powerful way to quickly establish a positive working relationship. As you share your Blueprint with prospective and new clients, you're not only presenting your personal or organization's brand, but you are also establishing the foundation for how you work and how you will develop your relationship going forward. Whether you're using the Business Introduction Blueprint of WE for a new project, with a new client, to establish a client/supplier agreement, or even as your resume with a prospective employer, beginning your relationship with a Blueprint of WE will quickly build trust, clarify roles and deliverables, and unleash your collective creativity.

After you share your organization's over-arching Introduction Blueprint, you invite the other person/organization to write their half and you personalize it to fit that particular client, etc. Typically most of the additions are found in the Story of Us and Expectations Components of the document, although all Components may have some added specifics. Note: These are often used to enhance or replace legal contracts which are traditionally used to begin a business relationship.

Once you create your Business Introduction Document, you can then go on to create A Blueprint of WE between your executive team, entire departments, between boss and employee or for specific projects. Many companies are also using them for their performance reviews to ensure the working relationships are healthy and on target.

Makes it extra simple for clients, suppliers, partners, etc. to write their half of a Document with you. Send it to them along with your 1-page Business Introduction Blueprint of WE and see how it evolves your business.

Adopting the Blueprint of WE

Best case scenario, spreading the Blueprint of WE through your organization begins when the leadership team senses the need for deeper, more dynamic and resilient interactions. They lead by example; creating a Blueprint for their team and with their direct reports. As the concept begins to permeate the organization, everyone is invited to create their portion of an organization-wide Blueprint of WE.

Even if you’re not part of the leadership team, your spark and energy can move mountains. Sometimes it takes one or two people to start using the documents, building more effortless relationships, and then others start to notice. The adoption process is infectious and exciting. Whichever path your organization takes, decide today to custom design and build your business relationships, making them more vibrant and effortless. Are you ready to take your performance and your relationships to the next level?

"Starting our business relationship from this place is really helping raise issues that have been too hard in the past.
It's allowing us to get clear on what we really want from this partnership."
